Healing is personal and
it can happen powerfully in the presence of others

This in-person group provides women with a safe and structured space to process the impact of a single traumatic event of sexual violence on an individual level—within a supportive group setting.

This is not a support group. This is not a psycho-educational group. There will be no sharing of trauma and participants do not need to bond and "get to know each other".

The purpose of this experience is to facilitate trauma processing, allowing you to release the weight of suffering. Through this process, you may discover a newfound sense of ease, calm, and lightness in your everyday life.

The group generally is structured:

Maximum of six (6) participants.

Friday evening for 2 hours (5pm-7pm) then next day

Saturday: 9am -5pm (1 hour for lunch and some short breaks)

Location:

San Fernando (safe, private space with all amenities)

Also:

Light lunch and snacks provided

All worksheets and supportive material provided

Cost:

TT$4000.00 per person

Relevant background information: (Please include any history of addiction, self-harm, current stressors, relevant diagnosis etc.

Please confirm that you:

Have not had life threatening substance abuse

Have not had a serious suicide attempt

Have not experienced self-mutilation

Have not exhibited serious assaultive behaviour

Are not experiencing severe instability at home

Are not pregnant at the time of the group. (If you are pregnant, please let us know in advance)

Have no current eye injury or pain

Participants must have a therapist or health professional to engage with should additional individual support be required while attending each group. If you are attending this group as an adjunct to individual therapy, engaging with your therapist after session can help to integrate your group work into your overall treatment plan.
