I'm glad you're here

Working with women was a choice I made during the first year of my tertiary education and I honestly cannot determine why that was so. It seemed to fit and I never strayed from that choice over 20 years ago. In fine synchronicity, I was given many opportunities during my schooling and later work-life to support women. I came to realise that so many were the embodiment of Persephone and the men around them, were very much Hades. The nuances of how women negotiate the worlds that they inhabit are manifold and require provocative dialogue, an inner-strengthening while embracing the gifts of feminine nurturance.

I enjoy seeing women settling into an emotional safety to explore a more expanded view of themselves and visualize possibilities. Women are the heroines of their own stories and though they may not write every word or chapter, they can take much of what was and transmute much of what will be. There are so many nourishing ways to do this and I am happy to work with you to discover the approaches that effectively support you.

WORKING WITH ME

what's it like

I have spent my entire career honing my skills as a women's trauma therapist and have been deeply honoured at the hundreds of women who have graced my office in the past 15 years - women with sacred hurt and soul wounding who had the courage to show up and do the work. I have zero fear to go with you where you need to. We do this healing as co-creatives: I am not the expert on your life - you are - and we can surely devise a way forward together to shift the trauma locked in your whole self, alleviate shame and get you to a place of thriving. This work is gentle - gentle is sustainable.

"No intervention that takes power away from the survivor can possibly foster her recovery, no matter how much it appears to be in her immediate best interest."
