"We have to include our entire person--in fact our entire world--along with all the sensations we may not want, in order to heal." - Elizabeth Mattis Namgyel
Are you struggling with symptoms of trauma, depression or anxiety?
The PATH Program (Practical Applications in Trauma Healing) is a trauma program that utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques to alleviate the symptoms that result from childhood sexual abuse and rape.
I specialise in treating:
1. Women who have been raped
2. Women who were sexually abused as children
Symptoms, which include panic attacks, anxiety, mood swings, depression, eating disorders, flashbacks, phobias, hypervigilance, isolation, nightmares, insomnia and more, are all common results of trauma.
Techniques used, make it possible to process a trauma without re-living it. Clients are encouraged to actively question the assumption that one is permanently damaged and is a “victim”. This is not my personal belief and not the belief held by trauma therapists. Symptoms CAN be alleviated to bring great comfort.
You can benefit from the PATH Program in vital ways:
- Learn to improve trust and intimacy
- Correct a distorted sense of self
- Learn to love your body
- Alleviate feelings of guilt and shame
- Improve relationships
- Live your authentic life!
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, I will not undertake trauma-work with you until the baby has been delivered and weaned. I can do other work with you until that time.
If you are pregnant and it is deemed that EMDR is of a greater help than harm to you - I will require letters of consent/permission from both your ob/gyn and another licensed medical doctor - who have a full understanding of the effect of bi-lateral stimulation before we proceed.
Please contact Oraine to learn about pre-treatment testing, length of program, cost and more: firstname.lastname@example.org or (868) 221-4785.
This service is available to regional and international clients in the English language as a special one-week intensive. Kindly contact Ms. Ramoo for additional information, flight and accommodation information for Trinidad.
Wounding and healing are not opposites. They're part of the same thing. It is our wounds that enable us to be compassionate with the wounds of others. ~ Rachel Naomi Remen
